We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Stakeholder Relations Manager

Location: Abuja

Role Summary

  • The Manager will handle all activities relating to engagements with Government Ministries, Departments, Agencies, protocol, security, immigration and also ensure prompt travel visa processing for company sponsored engagements.

Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder Management:

  • Actively interface with Federal and State government Ministries, Departments and agencies on all matters relating to the company
  • Engage with Federal and State governments with a view to developing public sector-based businesses for the company
  • Schedule and confirm appointments for Management staff, getting directions and travel times, passing up-to-the minute schedules and information to the driver.
  • Plan and arrange courtesy visits for staff and oversee the accreditation of staff at events
  • Develop, maintain and update master contact list which includes key political and social contact information, guest lists, and diplomatic community orders of preference.
  • Develops guests lists with correct name/title/address/contact information for official functions
  • Plan seating arrangements and prints seating cards for official events; dispatches invitations at the appropriate time and follow up on acceptances and regrets including dietary preferences of guests; and monitors and provides guest estimates for the event.
  • Coordinate arrangements for press accompanying visiting dignitaries to Phase3 Telecom.
  • Actively engage stakeholders in such a manner as to generate new businesses or expand existing portfolios with a view to growing Phase3 revenue year on year
  • Act as a liaison between staff & other dignitaries both government and private sectors
  • Manage all visa, travel and immigration requirements for all expatriate staff of phase3 Telecom and sister companies
  • Provide advice for staff on formalities and courtesies they should observe when associating with foreign visitors.
  • Research on various foreign cultures, etiquette and beliefs including gift-giving and colors etc and advise staff accordingly
  • Arrange to receive company visitors, review ranks, positions and sitting arrangement
  • Facilitate travels of staff going to other countries on official assignment and serve as protocol detail to staff on all travels

General Unit Assistance:

  • To coordinate scheduled meetings, organize framework for meetings and see through the processes with follow ups
  • Assist in follow ups that may be required on issues relating to external stakeholders including interface
  • Assist in coordinating the implementation of risk management solutions with internal stakeholders
  • Assist in coordinating the development and implementation of the company’s strategic plans
  • Assist in providing industry profiling and industry trend analysis for the competitive and strategic use by the company
  • Assist in the development and coordination of the company’s business process flow and standard operating procedures for effectiveness
  • Generate weekly reports on stakeholder relations activities
  • Monitors progress on complaints and issues under the unit with stakeholders – Level 1
  • Escalates Level 2 and Level 3 complaints and issues to Unit Head
  • Maintains the Unit’s stakeholder coordination schedule
  • Maintains the Unit’s filing system
  • Assist in coordinating the development of corporate plans, annual budgeting cycle, strategy and budget retreats
  • Assist in driving the company’s full-scale enterprise risk management
  • Assist in triggering the process of proactive risk minimization and maintenance of zero or minimal risk profile for the company
  • Any other assignment that might be given by your supervisor

Educational Qualification

  • B.Sc. Degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Political Sciences or related discipline
  • Being fluent in French is an added advantage.

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in a similar and senior level role in a medium to large sized organisation
  • Must have experience engaging closely with external stakeholders in government and public sector in previous roles

  • Must show initiative, expertise, and use of own judgment in deciding technical arrangements for official functions
  • Must possess extensive knowledge of foreign cultures and protocol.
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Teamwork – work in sync with other support staff to the HOD
  • Ability to deal effectively and discreetly with high level official, political, social and business figures is required.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, tact, sensitivity and maturity to deal comfortably with high-ranking officials
